Get ready for an exciting journey through one of the most beautiful regions of Cyprus — the Akamas Peninsula with its picturesque villages and hidden natural and cultural treasures.
The tour begins at Peyia with its local attractions, including banana plantations, a shipwreck near the sea caves and the church and chapel of St. George.
Next stop, Pano Akourdalia, and a visit to a herbalist’s shop, where various medicines are produced from organically grown raw materials. Here you can have a nice cup of coffee or a healing tea.
After the break, it’s on to Inya, a charming village famous for its folk art museum and the production of wicker baskets.
Equally memorable is the abandoned village of Fasli with stunning views of the entire Akamas Peninsula, Lara Turtle Beach and Chrysochou Cove.
Passing Androlikou, another uninhabited village, we’ll visit the legendary Aphrodite’s Bath and the small botanical gardens, after which it’ll be time to relax, dine and sample some of the wines at one of the local wineries.
The monastery of Saint Neophytos completes the journey.
