In the west of the island, a 10-minute drive from the ancient capital of Cyprus, Paphos and surrounded by picturesque mountainous valleys, a unique golf-club is located.
You will breathe easier at the height of 550 above sea level even on a hot summer day. Players are offered all modern comforts, including a stylish Clubhouse with a wonderful restaurant, a golf academy and welcoming personnel.
The 18 holes are located on an area which is large enough to create ideal conditions for the game and compact enough to move on foot if you wish. A golfer walks about 6 kilometers during one game. After each ninth hole the golfers return to the Club House, where they can re-energise in the middle of the game.
A bit of history
The golf club is located on land which belongs to an ancient monastery of the 12th century. Тhe area is blessed by prayer and selfless labour; it preserves the spiritual warmth. Calmness descends on you the minute you step out of the car at the golf club. Fragrant herbs grow along the paths where players walk, and a wonderful perfume resembling incense wafts in the air.
Mountainous valleys, the greenery of the fields, оlive and almond trees, walnuts and vine is in the best possible harmony with the ancient building of the monastery, creating ideal conditions for the game.
The field was designed in 1994 by Donald Steel and is Cyprus’ oldest. The golf course has recently been modernized by Тоm Mackenzie and Маrtin Ebert, who added the Cyprus project to their portfolio. Mackenzie and Ebert are famous for their skill of introducing golf courses into the natural landscape, and their participation in the Minthis Hills project was not accidental.
The general concept of the residence, built under the motto of barefoot luxury, is based on the idea of the harmonious combination of a natural landscape and a residential complex of the luxe segment (details).
Game
Minthis Hills ensures a pleasant game for players of any level. Each of the 18 holes here are unique. The mounting tee lure players into the game, narrow fairways fringed with trees and bushes are pleasing to the eye. Each hit requires careful evaluation.
A game on 12 holes with par equaling 4, when you can hit the green with a home drive with wood №1, but there is a sloping ravine.
Holes 14 and 17, located on the ascent, are difficult, while a par equaling 4 requires precision to reach the green in two shots.
The unique 13th hole is located on the island. Goodness knows how many balls were lost in the lake…

Minthis Hills Gold Academy invites beginners wishing to enter the world of golf, аs well as players aspiring for better game skills. The doors of the Academy are open for adults, teenagers and children.
Students are welcomed by experienced coaches and specially equipped areas for practice.
Restaurant
Clubhouse Minthis Hills is open from 8 to 19. Chef Marios Karayanis, a student of legendary French Michelin stars holder, Alain Ducasse, offers exclusively cooked dishes of traditional Cypriot cuisine.
