According to the Turkish media, the dangerous predator was about 5 metres in length.
The shark was spotted by a fisherman, who immediately made the relevant post on Facebook: “My boat is 4,5 m long and that shark was much longer than my vessel. From what I have seen in the documentaries, I have assume that this was a white shark, however I may be mistaken. I was so scared, that I did not even risk to take a picture”.
The White shark is notorious for its size. The fully grown female species may be up to 6 metres in length, may weight up to 2 tonnes and may reach the speed of 56 km/h.
