The organisers of the Eurovision have announced that in 2017 the contest will be hosted by one of the 3 Ukrainian cities – Kiev, Odessa or Dnepropetrovsk.
Russian media, however, reported earlier that Ukraine may lose its right to host the contest due to the problems with preparations. In that case, the contest would be hosted by another country – Russia, for example.
It was further noted that Ukraine neither selected the city, nor decided where to take the funding to build the necessary infrastructure.
The final of Eurovision 2016 took place in Stockholm. The first place was taken by the Ukrainian singer Jamala, the second place by the singer from Australia and third place by Russian singer.
