Group of 20 Greek- and Turkish-Cypriots went on to explore the caves in the Kyrenia mountains, which are one of the seven nature reserves in the region. The first session will take place from 15th until 18th of March under the guidance of experienced instructors from Lebanon, France and Croatia. Training will consist of theoretical sessions concerning safety and ecological matters, as well as practical exercises in the caves. The next step will be a simulator, which imitates a cave.
The research project was founded with support of the Embassy of the USA and EuropeAid in cooperation with the University of Nicosia and International Speleological Association.
