The protest under the motto “Not an inch of our land to Cypriots” took place on Sunday in Morfou.
Turkish-Cypriots were protesting against returning the city to the Republic of Cyprus.
One of the participants said that by doing such a protest, they would like to show that “they will not give an inch of land to the Greek-Cypriots or Cyprus church” and that they don’t want to become refugees again. This is how they urge their govenrment to make sure that Morfou will remain under control of the Turkish-Cypriots.
On the same day, Nicos Anastasiades said that the resolution of the Cyprus problem is impossible without regaining control over Morfou.
