According to the latest survey, which was conducted by the centre of migration, identity and human rights research, the Turkish-Cypriots are loosing their interest in reunification. This year, the number of individuals who would vote “yes” on a referendum has almost halved- it is only 25% of the population.
At the same time, 65% are encouraging the resolution of the Cyprus problem, whilst in January 2016 approximately 80% would’ve voted “yes”.
The survey also show that, in general, Turkish-Cypriots do not believe that the resolution of the Cyprus problem will affect them in any way.
