In exchange for the active participation to resolve the migrant crisis in EU, Turkey has demanded from the EU additional financial help, introduction of visa-free regime and open up five new negotiation routes in relation to the ascension to the EU, as well as to speed up the process if the Cyprus problem will be resolved.
Ankara offers to accept approximately 1 million migrants whose applications for the asylum will be declined.
Leaders of the EU are actively examining the offer presented by Turkish officials in Brussels.
After the examination is complete, both sides will conduct new negotiations within the framework of EU–Turkey summit dedicated to the problem of migrants.
