Tour operators have announced their forecasts for the upcoming summer season. According to ATOR, the demand for the Cyprus as a holiday destination has increased, and at the same time a high rate of spending remain among tourists. 50% of package tours and tickets have been sold for the summer period until August and 15-20% until October.
End of June and beginning of July remain the most popular time for holiday. According to tour operators, Ayia Napa and Protaras, as well as Limassol and Paphos are the most preferred resort cities among Russian tourists.
Earlier in 2016, Cyprus received 780 thousand Russian tourists, which was a record indicator for the Russian market at that time.
Cyprus Tourism Organization expects the number of Russian tourist to reach last year’s figures or even grow by 10-15%.
