The results of the Municipal elections in Limassol will be examined on Friday. The time extension until the end of the week was set by the Supreme Court of Cyprus, which will make the final decision on this matter.
During the elections last year, the ex-mayor of Limassol Mr. Andreas Chrisotu lacked only 9 votes to win. He filed the request fro the recounting of the votes on 7th of February, based on the witness reports about the fraud.
Last Friday, the current mayor of Limassol Mr. Nicos Nicolaides has challenged to the decision of the recounting of the votes, however Christou’s lawyers filled another appeal.
