The CEO of the Hermes Airports Mrs. Eleni Kalogirou stated that according to the data accumulated over the year 2016, the number of passengers served at the Larnaca airport has increased by almost 25% and by 2,5% in Paphos airport.
Overall, during the last year the International airports of Cyprus have served almost 9 million passengers.
The most significant increase was in the number of tourists from Russian and Israel – the increase is by 47%. The management explain this popularity of Cyprus due to increase in the number of routes and partners among the airlines.
