The representatives of farmers in Nicosia are threatening to initiate Court proceedings in case if the government will not implement effective measures. They are not happy with the fact that moufflons are destroying the agricultural products in the mountain regions of the island.
According to the latest data provided by EKA, the population of the moufflons has significantly increased over the last few years and became the real problem for the local residents.
The farmers are in despair. The moufflons are adding to the problems caused by the difficult period due to draught, heat waves and economic crisis.
