The Council of Ministers has adopted the new law which aims to enforce the existing legislation concerning dogs. According to the document, the government of Cyprus promises to help the local authorities to build shelters for homeless dogs.
The Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Socrates Hasikos also said that in accordance with the new rules, the responsibilities of the local authorities towards the dogs will also be outlined. He also added that, among others, the legislation will regulate all aspects of keeping dogs at home.
Now the regulation is pending to be reviewed by the MPs.
