The Ambassador of Cyprus to Russia Mr. Georgios Kasoulidis discussed the forecast in the tourism industry with the journalists during the interview . According to him, the overall number of tourists may reach 650,000 tourists during this year.
In 2015, 2,75 million tourists visited the island and 525,000 of those were Russians. This year is more prosperous- the growth is estimated to be 40%.
The Ambassador mentioned that Cyprus is chosen for its nature and pleasant weather conditions. “It is a small, but very beautiful island, where the weather will never bring any unpleasant surprises. Moreover, it is a safe place for the family vacations” – Kasoulidis added.
