The Green Party urges the EU to comply with the laws aimed at protecting animal rights.
Activists of animal protection societies in Cyprus and in the whole of Europe have expressed their resentment in connection with the outrageous event that occurred recently in Aradippou Municipality.
According to “In-Cyprus”, the owner of the dog shelter was burning animals alive or starving them to death, however he managed to avoid imprisonment.
MEPs of the Party have called the incident “disgusting” and demand to toughen the punishment for such crimes.
