The deputy of the press-secretary of the UN Secretary General Mr. Farkhan Hak touched upon the matter of negotiations in Cyprus. He said that according to Mr. Espen Barth Eide, both leaders are determined to resolve he matter of reunification.
He also pointed out that in attempt to resume the negotiations as soon as possible, Mr. Espen Barth Eide already met with the two leaders last.
Yesterday, the deputy prime-minister of Turkey Mr. Turgul Turkesh arrived to the so-called Northern Cyprus. He is one of the officials, who are responsible for the Cyprus problem. Regardless of the fact that his visit is dedicated to the upcoming referendum in Turkey, it is possible that the reunification matter will also be discussed.
