Three men sailed off to Syria from the so-called Northern Cyprus last Sunday. However, their 12-metre wooden boat ran out of fuel in the evening 3 miles away from Paralimni.
The Coastal Guard spotted the drifting sea, which was flying the flag of Congo for unknown reasons. All passengers, which were citizens of Syria were rescued and are currently held at the Paralimni police station.
