During the night between 14th and 15thof November, the so-called Supermoon will be visible in Cyprus, which is a coincidence when Full or new Moon is closest to the Earth on the orbit.
The last time when the Moon was so close to the Earth was in 1948 and next time it will not happen earlier than 2034.
According to the head of the Astronomical society of Cyprus Mr. Chysanthos Fakas, today the moon will appear 3% brighter and 14% larger than usual.
This year the residents of Cyprus already saw two eclipses and two Supermoons.
