Russia will send experts in the aviation security to Egypt in order to perform the next round of negotiations of the necessary measures, which must be implemented to improve security in the airports of Egypt – the “Interfax” reports with reference to the Minister of Transport of Russian Federation Mr. Maxim Sokolov. The Minister stressed that Russian and Egyptian aviation authorities are currently participating in the constructive dialogue. According to Mr. Sokolov, even though there are no political obstacles to resume the flights, an extra inspection is still necessary.
Russia banned all airlines to conduct flights to Egypt from the 6th of November 2015. This decision was made after the crash of the “Kogalimavia” aircraft above the Sinai peninsula.
