During this week, the Cyprus police will be conducting the checks in order to reveal the drivers, who do not have the valid insurance, which is required by law.
According to the statement made by the representative of the police department, the officers will be requiring the drivers to present their insurance certificate along with the MOT certificate and driving license.
In accordance with the road traffic legislation, all owners are obliged to purchase the insurance which covers their liability towards third parties.
