Investigation showed that theft was not made through the online banking system. Presumably it happened from the personal computer of the account holder.
According to JCC Payment Systems Ltd, Cypriots are increasingly using plastic cards for payments and online purchases. The amount of online transactions has already increased by 12% in June, reaching 230 million euro.
