The government and nurses of the public hospital, in the end, have reach an agreement. According to the signed document, their salaries will be increases due to adjustments to the academic qualifications.
The agreement will enter into force in January 2019. After signing, the government spokesman Mr. Nicos Christodoulides said that the implementation of the National Healthcare System is the main priority of the government.
Earlier, nurses went on strike and among their other demands, they wanted to get financial rewards, which were promised by the Minister of Health earlier.
