Unemployment rate in Cyprus dropped to 11,6% since April this year, however Cyprus still holds 3rd place among countries in the European Union with the highest unemployment rate.
One thousand of job seekers were able to find employment within one month. Around 53 thousand citizens of Cyprus still remain unemployed. The list is topped by young people, followed by women and lowest number of unemployed is among men.
The highest unemployment rate in the EU is reported in Greece – 23,2%, followed by Spain with 17,2%.
Best results in the EU were recorded in Czech Republic, Germany, Malta and Netherlands.
