The chaotic distribution of the flyers and promotional materials through the post boxes will be regulated by the government. Cyplive reports that the final decision on that matter shall be made before the Parliamentary elections in May. The new legislation will state that a special sticker can be placed on the post box, which will tell the distributors of the promotional materials whether the residents are willing to receive such materials or not.
In the event of breach of the rules, the distribution companies and “sole traders”, which are involved in delivering of the flyers to the post boxes will be facing criminal charges and fines.
