The UN special advisor on Cyprus Mr. Espen Barth Eide reported to the UN Security Council about the situation concerning the resolution of the Cyprus problem after the Geneva conference.
In cooperation with the Commander of the UN Peacekeeping troop in Cyprus Mrs. Elizabeth Speckhar he also answered to questions made by the members of the UNSC about the extension of the UN mandate until 31st of July.
The voting concerning the extension of the mandate is set to take place on Thursday. Also, on 26th of January the first meeting of the two leader in Nicosia is scheduled.
