In order to attract more participants, especially from abroad, the organisers of the Limassol GSO marathon decided to increase the value of prizes for the winners.
Next year, a runner who will wet a new time record will receive 4,000 Euros.
For the men, the winner will receive 2,000 Euros, 2nd place will receive 1,500 Euros and 3rd will get 1,000 Euros.
Another amendment concerns the starting time- instead of the usual 09:00am, the race will start at 07:30am.
This year there were 13,000 runner registered for the event out of which 1,500 were foreigners.
