The press secretary of the Fire Service Leonidas Leonidou reminds the public about the fire hazards in Cyprus. People are used to clearing the gardens and field by burning the debris without fully understanding the dangers of their actions.
Mr. Leonidas urges everyone who sees such behavior to report to the Fire Service immediately, because the reason for the majority of the fires is the human factor. Even high fines will not change the situation until people will start to cooperate and report the perpetrators to the authorities.
