The office of the Public Prosecutor in St. Petersburg has initiated the examination of the music video of the “Leningrad” band for their song “V Pitere- pit”, which means “Drink in St. Petersburg”.
In the beginning of the month the MP of St. Petersburg Evgeniy Marchenko has sent a request to the public prosecutor to examine the video for propaganda of alcohol consumption.
Moreover, various public organisations have sent the similar request to the authorities. According to the activists, this video shames St. Petersburg, promotes alcohol consumption and violence towards the authorities.
