As part of the festival programme “Journey to Eternity”, residents and guests of the island enjoyed songs, dances, water show, mini-parade and an animation story about three travellers who arrived to the city by land, air and sea. The background for the animation was the main castle of Paphos. Story illustrations and images were transmitted on castle walls through the projector, which also became the main highlight of the evening.
The presentation was offered in English and Greek language. The evening programme was concluded with the spectacular fireworks.
As reported earlier, Paphos is a European Capital of Culture in 2017. Within the framework of the project “Open Air factory of culture”, more than 300 events and performances will be organized in the city during the year.
