The hotels will be obliged to provide the appropriate alternative or financial compensation in case of double bookings or if the room is not available.
The Cyprus Tourism organization has issued the relevant instructions and the representative of the CTO has urged the employees of the hotels to pay more attention to their work in order to avoid such situations as much as possible. However is such situation has occurred, then guests must be aware of their rights.
According to the new instructions, in case if the hotel cannot honor the booking, then the client must be informed 15 days before arrival. Hotel is obliged to provide the alternative accommodation with the same number of rooms and in the hotel of the same category.
