Rosstourism expects the number of tourist to Greece to be over 1 million.
The experts are explaining that the growth in the numbers to Greece is caused by the prohibition to go to popular destinations such as Turkey and Egypt. After those destinations were closed, Greece became one of the most popular destinations among the Russian tourists.
Since the beginning of 2016, the Greece’s share got up to 17%. In the popularity rating among the foreign destinations, Greece is on the second place – the leading position is held by Cyprus with 26%.
