Pavlos Kontides won a gold medal for Cyprus showing great results in the Sailing’s World Cup Series in Hyères, France.
At the second round of the Sailing’s World Cup, Kontides beat athletes from Italy and Australia. Cypriot sailor was racing for gold against Australia’s Matt Wearn, who was his rival at the final of the World Cup last year, where Kontides also took first place.
In total, more than 500 athletes from 52 countries took part in the Sailing’s World Cup Series in Hyères, France.
