Leader of the Citizens’ Alliance Giorgos Lillikas officially announced his plans to run for the presidential elections in 2018 and presented a brief overview of his programme.
While criticizing the policy of Anastasiades, Lillikas promises to solve the ‘Cyprus problem’ and guarantee equal rights and freedoms for both communities in a single European state. He also expressed a desire to finally overcome the economic crisis by investing in research and innovation.
Earlier in 2013, Lillikas already run for president, but did not make it to the second round, receiving only 25% of the votes.
