Lemons now cost twice as much and watermelons cost 4 times more.
The increase in prices is the result of the bad weather in Cyprus over the last few months. Initially hail destroyed the crops, which followed by a heatwave, which destroyed the produce.
The decrease in supply of fruits and vegetable has therefore resulted in the increase in prices.
