On Sunday during lunchtime, the firemen were combating the forest fire near Pachna, Limassol. According to the CypLive, 8 engines were dispatched to extinguish the fire, which started at 15:00.
After 2 hours, the fire, which destroyed about 3 hectares of dry grass and wild bushes, was extinguished.
Also on Sunday morning, 6 fire engines and 2 helicopters were fighting the fire for 3 hours in the Marathounta region in Paphos. The fire destroyed approximately 2 hectares of dry grass and wild bushes.
