It took approximately 60 firefighters, 22 fire engines and 2 helicopters to extinguish the fire in the vicinity of Limassol. The fire started on Tuesday afternoon in the Alassa and Lania region.
Firefighters from Moniatissa, Pachna, Kividis, Palendri, St. Jones and Paphos came to help to extinguish the fire.
Additionally, the helicopters of E.M.A.K. special forces assisted in the situation. Currently the area in supervised in order to avoid any further fires.
