The Egyptian Interpol has sent another request to extradite the Seif ad-Din Mustafa – the hijacker of the EgyptAir aircraft, basing the request on the Nicosia District Court decision.
The District Court has issued a decision to extradite the hijacker on 30th of September. However, he still remains on the island, because the appeal hearing is set for the 1st of December.
The Cyprus authorities were supposed to hand over the hijacker to Egypt at the end of the month, because the Court declined the application for the asylum status.
The Egyptian Interpol delegation should come to Cyprus to get Seif. In Egypt, he will be punished with the life imprisonment.
