Last Saturday, a 31-year old diver from Erimi Andreas Yangou sailed off for the underwater fishing and did not return. Parents of the diver informed the police that their son went missing- his mobile phone was unreachable for the whole day.
The S&R team immediately sent two boats, helicopter and medical personnel to Pomos, where the missing diver intended to swim. Soon thereafter, police discovered his car in the vicinity.
S&R divers are continuing the search in the radium of 2km around Pomos, where the experienced diver disappeared. The rescuers will also conduct search from the air of 100 sq.km.
