Cyprus National Diabetes Committee announced this week the start of the nationwide informative campaign on diabetes prevention.
The first lecture with the participation of experts will be held on Thursday in the village of Lythrodontas in Nicosia. In addition to useful information, visitors will be able to measure blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
Earlier it was reported, that Cyprus is ranked first with the indicator slightly less than 10% among EU countries where diabetes is being detected frequently. But, despite the fact that this disease is dangerous for health and can cause serious consequences, it can be prevented.
For example, even small changes in lifestyle can help avoiding type 2 diabetes for those at risk.
