Stephane Dujarric ,the spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General announced that Cyprus talks will be held in Geneva on 28th of June. According to Dujarric, the UN organised negotiations will be held with participation of leaders of both Cyprus communities, the observer from the EU and the guarantor countries – Great Britain, Greece and Turkey.
The positions of leaders of both communities, as well as the position of other participants will be indicated in a preliminary common document, prepared by the UN Special Adviser Espen Barth Eide in the coming days.
The second part of so-called “common document” will contain UN opinion on issues concerning constitutional, internal and external security and their settlement in the future.
