The new cooperation programme between the prosecution offices of the two countries was accepted after the bilateral negotiations. According to the agreement, the relevant authorities of the two states will provide help to each other in criminal cases and in extradition matters.
The agreement was put into use almost immediately by reaching agreement to extradite to Cyprus one of the criminals. In the nearest future, Russia will give to Cyprus a Ukrainian national, who is charged with committing several offenses in the Republic.
