The relevant announcement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ioannis Kasoulides.
He also clarified that the “Republic is ready to lift the sanctions, which were imposed against Russia. However, regardless of the preliminary consultations few months ago, some countries, which promised to support this idea, did not show real interest to review the police towards Russia”.
The Minister added that for the time being, Cyprus will refrain from any specific practical actions, due to the risk of new sanctions and measures which may be introduced by the EU.
