The members of the Parliamentary Labor Committee and Social Security called Cyprus the champion in the emigration of the youth due to the unemployment.
According to the chairman of the committee, the EU data, which is based on the proportion of the population, is unfortunately signifying that a large number of young individuals (20,000-30,000) have emigrated form the country.
Moreover, large number of young people who studied abroad, do not even return back to Cyprus. Overall, Cyprus was placed on the 5th worst place in the EU in the unemployment rating.
