Russian association of tour operators have reported a significant increase in Russian tourist numbers visiting Cyprus. The numbers have increased by 55% in March comparing to the same period in 2016.
Experts assume that the increased interest in Cyprus is related to the unstable political situation in Turkey, which is another popular destination for Russian tourists.
As reported earlier, Russian Federal Air Transport Agency informed on possibility of banning charter flights to Turkey. This is the reason, why choosing a safe holiday destination is becoming a top priority for Russian tourists.
