The supply of the natural gas from Cyprus to Egypt will be done through the direct submarine pipeline, which will be built in those areas, which are under the jurisdiction of both countries. The gas will be used for the domestic consumption and for re-exportation.
This agreement will assist in the purchasing of the Cypriot gas by the consumers in Egypt and will ensure the good climate for the investors.
The Minister of Energy, Industry, Trade and Tourism, who signed the agreement on behalf of Cyprus, said the the expected delivery time of the gas is set for the 2020-2022.
