The Cyprus Airways has acquired the Operational license from the Department of Civil Aviation. One week ago, as part of the certification programme, the company has conducted a test flight from the Larnaca Airport to Heraklion.
Mrs. Natalia Popova, the commercial director of the company stated that the next step will be to acquire the license for commercial flights. Currently the company is working on the schedule and finalises the preparations to commence flights.
The Cyprus Airways officially closed in January 2016. Later, Charlie Airlines won a tender and acquired the license to use the Cyprus Airways trademark for a decade.
