During the meeting at the Presidential Palace, the private doctors of Cyprus have expressed their concern with the upcoming reform of the healthcare system. They were later joined by the nurses of the state hospitals, who are also unsatisfied with the upcoming changes.
Among other things, they have considered it impossible to waive the status of the government employee in order to get stimuli and increase of the salaries at the autonomous hospitals.
After the negotiations with the Ministers of healthcare and finance, they have received another offer.
This meeting was preceded by a chain of harsh debates between the Minister of Health Mr. George Pamborides and certain stake holders, including representatives of the CMA.
