The Environment commissioner Mrs. Ioanna Panayiotou stated that already 24,000 volunteers have signed up for the annual cleaning campaign “Let’s Do it Cyprus”.
This year, the event is scheduled for the 2nd of April. Last year, the campaign attracted more than 15,000 individuals. In total over the last 4 years, 40,000 volunteers have gathered 200 t. of rubbish.
Let’s do it Cyprus – is par of the global campaign, which aims to get rid of rubbish on our planet. It is the largest voluntary programme and the biggest civil movement in the world.
