Following Cyprus’ example, the Parliament of Belgium will consider the possibility of lifting of the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the EU.
The author of the initiative said that the preliminary date is set for October. He shares the same views as the members of the AKEL party and believes that the sanctions are causing a more significant economic damage to the domestic entrepreneurs, rather than Russians, more specifically – to the producers of fruits and vegetables.
The similar resolutions were approved by the both House of the French Parliament, by regional councils in Italy and by Cyprus.
