The work most probably will last for several years. Only after the completion, the ancient mosaic floor will be presented to the general public.
According to the experts, the Cypriot artifact represents a high historical value, since there are only 9 mosaics of this period with the image of races on chariots in the world.
As reported earlier, another valuable mosaic was found in the Akaki district in Nicosia last year. Archaeologists assume that this fragment is only part of a 26-meter long panel.
